Faithful

I admit it, I admit it—
I made mistakes, chose a long road, drove far out of state.
I was tripping off texts, Broski,
Too many feelings, all flowing freely.
Hell, you wouldn't even know me, Sober emojis, cracked voices showing.
Speeding down I-495 through the DMV, bridges, and tolls, trying to outrun me.
"Not me, Villy looking mad silly."
Winter anointed my turn signals
— I needed my freedom.
Kevin Samuels would've disowned me, 'cause he told me first: Love me.
Now peace fills me when prayers heal me. Focus exposes every lie clearly.
Claim your position. Calm listening. Less is more—we've seen this story before.
Build from the ground up.
Grind harder.
Win again.
This ain't war when you return,
my friend, we're not enemies.
Back to the city, ready to score,
Triple-double energy—
Ant-Man on the floor.
Hey, man, say man—same thing.
"No pain, no gain" sounds lame, but it still rings true.
I came to reinvent.
Through poems,
I vent frustrations, impatience,
Displacement and pacing,
Forward-facing.
There's strategy in math and science, Angles measured with precise guidance.
Her oil-curved wisdom taught lessons, Lessons that matured into blessings.
I decided to accept this truth;
I'm still wondering how career moves cost me proof.
How could I lose what I never owned? Public domain—those rules are known. It's case law.
Maybe my pen was leaking.
Maybe I wasn't thinking of selfhood—
Only family, reunions, Justice, protests, and good intentions
Paying bills, while you were
Giving my respect away, it's tasteless
The misdirected energy,
Wild styling, craving visibility
Then hiding your face
Real bad motives—not to mention,
I was simpin', grinning through tension.
No crying. No lying. I regret it.
Scammers get scammed too.
Funny how deception looks beautiful under Southern skies.
Fool's gold fooled me—
Well, not completely.
Nope. No Diddy.
No history.
Don't you know if the moon walked away, the world would unravel, drift, decay?
When I say I'm blessed,
People think I'm buffering, fussing, stuttering.
So many times I lost it all,
then bounced right back like it was nothing at all.
But it was something.
Every fall,
Taught me how to evolve.
I'm forever, Faithful.
To me!
